- I'm pretty sure I would have failed the course without a solutions manual. The explanations are decent. Of course, the author could have been more thorough, but it's good enough to get the basic gist of how to solve the problems. (If too much was spelled out it might have detracted from the learning value. Sorry, that's the teacher in me coming out.)
It was a little annoying that it doesn't have a hard cover, but I guess they make up for that by making it slightly cheaper. Think of it as a rite of passage to take a quantitative chemical analysis course. It's similar to general chemistry but covers way smaller numbers. Get used to scientific notation. - This manual helps me with working through difficult problems. I almost didn't, because I rarely buy supplemental or optional texts, but this one was a good purchase. In nearly every case that I struggled with a problem, this manual helped me uncover my mistakes and learn how to work the problem correctly. I will be using it again in the upcoming semester, so I am definitely getting my money's worth. I recommend buying it!
- For the most part this solutions manual provides sufficiently detailed explanations and solutions as to allow anyone to understand the problem. A few solutions make assumptions of what the reader knows which are not necessarily warranted or do not fully explain in words the process that is shown, but these are in the minority by far, and can be ameliorated with some additional references to the textbook as needed.
- I bought it, but I never used it for my class. It's great for practice problems, but some books already have the solutions on the back. If yours do you won't need this manual.
- I bought this at the same time when I bought the text book. I needed it for a class, and was worried since I had not looked at chemistry for three years. I found this extremely useful when it came time to actually do the homework; it did a good job explaining the method to do a problem. Can't ask for more from a solutions manual.
- Very much worth the dough, helped me a lot in analytical. In this class you HAVE to do problems out of the book on your own, and this is the way to know whether you did it right or need to do it again.
- If it were not for this manual, I probably would have had to go to my instructor after every lesson for help. This manual is a life saver and it breaks down the solution to every problem step by step!!! It really increased my understanding of the material and how to work related problems. I would highly recommend this manual..you won't regret it!
