The Flea Markets of France Sandy Price Emily Laxer 9781892145598 Books Reviews

  • I originally borrowed this book from a friend when I took my first trip to France. It didn't disappoint! It was so on point and I used it to plan our travels to different areas and towns. I didn't want to give it back once we got home! I just had to order it for myself. We have been back since and still use it each time. Of course over time, some flea markets will move locations but you should still find something in the area fun to do or as the book suggests some local fare and locations to try.
  • When my younger brother found out I bought this book in preparation for an upcoming visit to France his reaction was "So wait, you're going to France to go to garage sales?" Yeah, and what pray tell is so weird about that? Can you image anything more fun than going to a vintage clothing store in Paris?!! Or how about a flea market near Orleans that specializes in gardening tools etc? If you are now salivating at such possibilities you know this book is for you. It even includes important French phrases that every bargain shopper needs to know. What could be better?
  • Not much on Paris, mostly other places in France. It’s good if you’re traveling all over but not useful if you’ll only be in Paris.
  • It has been hard to find guides to all the small flea-like markets in Paris, let alone for all of France. This one tries but falls short. The obvious are found here but not the obscure. Too bad as that is where the treasures are usually found.
  • Cute book with lots of description and photos for lovers of France.
  • A wonderful little book for any French antique or collectible lover.
  • Outstanding guide. I like this so much I have purchased several copies for friends! Clear and interesting guide, extremely useful in shopping the markets of France.
  • The book looks like a pocket book, very cute. Next thanks giving I will be going to France and I will take this little guide everywhere I go to try to visit every single flea market in France.
Not many pictures but lots of address. By the way all the pictures are very well taken I felt I was in one of the Markets.
