Open Your Heart to Love A New Love for the Jamestown Brides Book 6 edition by Indiana Wake Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

  • I don’t think a better ending could have been written for this series. In my opinion, it was absolutely fantastic! I have read many books by this author and this one impressed me the most. I loved the way it was written! The book description gives a great description of what Brent and Caroline’s story is about. It’s filled with twists and turns. I loved both Caroline and Brent, who was a gem of a man and as a husband. Caroline didn’t like him at first. There were some humorous moments between the two of them. The author mentions the other five brides, four of them briefly, that were on the Warwick in her group. There was Constance who was betrayed by a man from home and married a man she truly loved....Anne who was an apothecary and married a Native American halfbreed...16 year old Grace who no longer was a servant who married a wealthy man...Julia, the romantic who married a non romantic man who became romantic himself. Last there was Diana, the milliner, who married an elderly widower. Diana had become Caroline’s dearest friend and was a big part of Caroline’s story. All of them did quite well and were very happy. A better ending couldn’t be. This book is well worth reading. I hated to see this series end. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!!!
I was given this ARC and I voluntarily wrote an honest review.
  • This is the 6th and final book in the series A New Love for the Jamestown Brides and what a fabulous ending to a great series. This is Caroline and Brent's story. Caroline's love for books, learning and mathematics was discouraged and frowned upon by her father and brother. Her uncle encouraged and helped Caroline leave London to pursue a new life in Jamestown in the new world. Brent is a successful farmer near Jamestown and is attracted to Caroline, and also in time accepts her love of books and learning. As time goes on Caroline also learns to love Brent. This is a wonderful series about the settlement of Colonial America and a definite must read for history lovers. I received an ARC of this book from the author and this in my voluntary and honest review.
  • This is the last one of the six in this series. I have greatly enjoyed each and every one of them. The individual stories of the young English women do.ing to the new world, Jamestown in America for new starts and more opportunities. Caroline was from a wealthy home, very intelligent but also very oppressed by her father and brother. Carolina's invested her on her way to the new world. Brent is one of Jamestowns's gentlemen farmers and is wanting a wife and love. They butt head to begin with but will they find their way to a happily ever after. You will enjoy reading their story. I know this is the last of the series, but I can still hope for stories of future young ladies stories and their lives in Jamestown.
  • I received an ARC of this book from the author, Indiana Wake, and this is my voluntary and honest review. This is book 6 in the Jamestown Brides series, and I have loved them all. I was happy to read that all six women who bonded in friendship on their journey across the sea from England to America were able to fulfill the desires of their hearts and dreams. Caroline and Brent are perfect for each other. It was a wonderful series to see how the Jamestown colony thrived and was brought to life when the women could choose their husbands for themselves. I highly recommend each book in this series.
  • Another great book and an ending to another great series. Caroline has determined that she will no longer put up with the verbal abuse from her father and brother. They learned that she loved mathematics and science. When they got into an argument her father and brother burned all her books even her diaries she had kept all her life. She contact her estranged Uncle and he helped her escape to Jamestown in Virginia. Now she must learn what love really means and escape her past.
  • Enjoyed the storyline from England and the bad vibes of a father disappointed by the daughters intellect and learning by burning her textbooks. Such a shame the valley between women and men in England was so vast. Liked the courtship and value her new husband gave her. She bloomed under the new Jamestown values and openness. Amazing!
  • So sorry to see this series end. They are nicely written and have great plots and characters.
  • Love this series
